1. Apply online

Submit a brief application with your contact info, attorney's contact info, and a few details about your case. It takes about two minutes. There's no credit check, no application fee, and no obligation if you decide not to proceed.

2. Attorney verification

We reach out to your attorney to confirm the details of your case. Your attorney is never charged anything and isn't required to do extensive paperwork — typically just confirming the case status and likely timeline.

3. Approval & funding

If approved, you'll receive a clear, plain-language contract for review. Once signed, funds are sent by wire or check — typically within 24 to 48 hours.

The fundamentals

What pre-settlement funding actually is.

Pre-settlement funding (sometimes called a "lawsuit advance" or "lawsuit cash advance") is not a loan. It is a non-recourse purchase of a portion of the proceeds of your pending lawsuit. That distinction matters:

  • Non-recourse means we are repaid only out of your eventual settlement or judgment. If your case does not result in a recovery, you owe us nothing.
  • Because there is no personal liability and no monthly payments, we do not check your credit. Approval depends on the strength of your case.
  • Repayment is taken directly from the settlement proceeds at the time your case resolves — your attorney handles this through a lien or letter of protection.

What we look at when reviewing your case

  • Liability — how clearly the other party appears to be at fault.
  • Damages — the medical, financial, or other harm documented in the case.
  • Insurance or solvency — whether the defendant is in a position to pay a recovery.
  • Stage of the case — pleadings filed, discovery, settlement discussions, or trial.

Costs & what you'll repay

Every advance is governed by a written contract that lays out the funded amount, fees, and the repayment schedule based on when the case resolves. You'll receive the contract in plain English with the total payable amount at common case-resolution dates clearly displayed. Your attorney is welcome to review the agreement before you sign — and we encourage it.

What we won't do

  • We won't pressure you to settle for less than your case is worth.
  • We won't communicate with anyone except you and your attorney.
  • We won't add hidden fees, late fees, or pre-payment penalties.
